Pay It forward Layout - it had to happen!

Now my work is done with the pay it forward goodies, I can post this layout here. I really had fun with this one, but made an error which I have duly noted for future reference. That is - "title lettering should be the same type for each separate word."

I've posted the before and after, and I hope you'll agree, it was an improvement, though I have to do something to disguise the marker pen and the glue from the previous placement underneath. I might just take all the letters off an put a strip of card underneath - though any other ideas gratefully received.

I think I have a problem with Thickers. They are pricey, and sometimes I just can't bear to use too many. What's your favourite item that you can never bear to use? A piece of patterned paper? Or a strip of glorious ribbon - do tell ;)

What a difference it made! I do things like this ALL the time. I hardly have any layouts that haven't been 'rescued' in some form or other! What about vellum rather than card? Or something I've never been brave enough to try, acrylic paint?
At the moment I can't live without stamps and would like to make some Banana Frog investment buys...

How about sticking the thickers onto a strip of 1" wide organza ribbon to go the width of the page and then sticking that on top of the writing? It's subtle and sheer enough to not intrude onto the rest of the lovely layout, but will be enough to disguise the 'background'

Lovely LO, and yes, I agree with the majority. You'll get over the thickers usage really, you will. For me at the moment it seems to be papers. Unusual, so I must have picked up some cracking stuff recently!

It's lace for me - if I have to use a whole piece, I can't use it at all, I need to have a piece left.
My bag will bring me luck in the concert tomorrow, promise me? :)
love the LO, what a great idea to remember the PIF.
As to the title, I think I would remove the letters, and cut a purple piece of card (if you have some more) into an arrow shape pointing right (for the forwards bit) and mount the title on that, and replace on LO popped up on foam pads.

Eleanor's idea is much better than the one I was going to suggest! Lovely layout.
